Titile: My Immortal
Chapter/WIP/Complete: Complete
Author: Me!
Pairing: Billy/Sierra(OFC)
Rating: PG
Summary: Billy tries to get over Sierra.
Content/Warnings: Very sad. If you don't like sad fics, then this story isn't for you.
Disclaimer: I don't own Billy Boyd, Evanescence or the song "My Immortal". I just own Sierra and this story. This isn't real, I wrote it out of pure pleasure(or sadness, rather) and didn't get paid to boot!
Authors Notes: The song in this story, "My Immortal" is sung by the band Evanescence. In my opinion, it is a wonderful song, very sad though. Suggestions and criticism are welcome.
.:~*~:.
My Immortal
'I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all of my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
Because your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone...'
Billy sat all alone in his bedroom in the same shirt for the second week in a row, sniffing Sierra's white cotton dress, taking in the scent of her 'White Diamonds' perfume. It had been two weeks since she left and he still hadn't gotten out of bed, showered, shaved, or changed clothes and he had barely eaten. All he did was sit alone in his room all day long, smelling Sierra's clothes, looking through photo albums and watching videos of her, only leaving the room long enough to use the bathroom.
Every morning when he woke up, he would sit and stare at a picture of him and Sierra for hours, tracing his finger across the lines of her face and whispering, 'Why? Why did you leave me like this?'
Then he would turn on the television set in his room and put a video in the V.C.R. The one he watched the most being their wedding video. They were so happy together.
He could almost feel her with him. He could almost hear her sweet voice. Smell her perfume whenever he walked in their room. The image of her was still fresh in his mind. Her soft, brown, curly hair, her bright emerald green eyes, her perfect olive colored skin, her full pink lips.
'These wounds won't seem to heal
The pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase...'
Everyone told him that he needed to get over her, that he needed to get out of the house and shake the state he was in. But he just couldn't. Not this soon at least. The pain of loosing her was still there for him.
He could still remember the day she left so clearly...
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I've held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me...'
.:~*~:.Flashback.:~*~:.
"Billy! Stop!" Sierra giggled as she tried to push Billy off of her, with no avail.
"Never!" he laughed, straddling her, claiming victory.
"But tickle wars are never fair, especailly when you are involved!" she laughed, playfully pushing him off of her onto the floor beneath the sofa. He grabbed ahold of her legs and they both toppled over the edge, landing with an 'oof!'. "Well, babe, I'm sorry to say this, but I have to go to the grocery store." she said, getting up off of Billy.
"Do ye really have ta?" Billy pouted, standing up and folding his arms across his chest, sticking out his bottom lip and widening his eyes to form his famous puppy-dog pout.
"Ah! Don't give me that! You know I have to go to the store. We have to eat!" she said, walking up to him and pecking him on the lips.
She walked to the front door and grabbed her jacket off of the coat hanger by the front door and slipping her tennis shoes on. She opened the door and almost got knocked over by the gust of wind coming through. "Whoa!" she yelled as Billy held her up.
"Sierra, lass, are ye sure ye should go out in that weather?" Billy said, scrunching his face up in concern.
"Aww, don't worry, I'll be fine. It's just rain. I'll be home in about an hour, and I'm taking my mobile with me so there's no need to worry! I love you. Bye!" she said, pecking him on the lips just before heading out the door. \
"I love you, too. See you later!" he called as she shut the door and went out into the rain.
~a few hours later~
"Bill! Quit pacing, mate, she probably just got caught in traffic!" Orlando said, sitting on the couch, reading a magazine.
"Yar probably right. I just can't shake the feelin' that somethin' bad happened to 'er." he said, sitting down on the couch. Just then, the phone rang. "Hello?" Billy said, picking it up.
"Can I speak with Billy Boyd, please?" a female voice came at the other end of the reciever.
"That's me. Who am I speaking with?" he asked in bewilderment.
"I am Detective Mullens. I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you this, but your wife, Sierra Boyd, has been in an accident..." Billy felt his heart drop, "I'm sorry, but there was nothing that the doctors could do."
"Ye mean, she's d-d-dead?" he managed to choke out as Orlando, Dom, and Elijah looked at him in wide-eyed shock.
"I'm sorry, sir." she said and then hung up the phone.
"Bill, mate, what happened?" Elijah asked with tears in his eyes.
"Sierra was in an accident...she was killed." Billy choked out as he collapsed on the floor, sobbing bitterly.
.:~*~:.End Flashback.:~*~:.
"I need to get out of here." Billy said, standing up off of the bed and heading out the door.
He got into his car and drove and drove and drove. He wasn't sure where he was going until he got there.
He slowly drove thru the gate and entered a field of stone, marking the graves of many lives lost, many taken away from their loved ones too soon.
He pulled up to a certain marker and stopped his car, turning off the engine and stepping out of the car.
He walked up to his young bride's grave, kneeling in front of the headstone that marked her eternal resting place. "I miss ye, Si. I love you." he whispered tearfully, running his hand over the polished marble. He traced the carvings with his index finger:
Sierra Marie Boyd
Born October 18, 1980 - Died Septemer 12, 2002
Beloved daughter, sister, friend and wife.
Now an Angel of God
Billy lifted himself off of the ground and walked back to his car, turning and taking one last glance at his wife's grave. "Goodbye, my love. You'll always be in my heart, forever." he whispered, putting his hand over his heart and then turned and walked to his car, got in, started it and drove away...
'I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
And though you're still with me
I've been alone all along...'
